Today we were made aware of a financial report put out by KDB Daewood Securities in regards to their future outlook of NCSoft. According to their speculation, they have confirmed that Guild Wars 2 will be released in the US and Europe before the Thanksgiving holiday.

We reiterate our Buy call on NCsoft with a target price of W510,000. We were able to confirm the company’s plans to launch Blade & Soul domestically in 1H and GuildWars 2 in the Us and Europe in 2H. … And we anticipate that Guild Wars 2 will be rolled out in the US and Europe before the Thanksgiving holiday.

These dates are not confirmed by Arenanet or NCSoft and all we have are these financial documents of this Korean based financial firm. Take them with a grain of salt. You can find the original document here.

These speculations match up with most prognosticators; even though there are rumors of an internal ongoing Beta Test, Arenanet has only completed one BWE that has only showcased three out of the five playable races, level capped of 30 out of 80, and the storyline quests are stopped early. We do know, from Arenanet, that the game will be launched this year. It is often speculated that this game will launch this fall and these reports match up with that guess.

Level cap was not 30.  However the story line was capped at around level 20ish.

Yep there was no level cap in the first BWE.

If they try and wait all the way until fall after taking monies in Late Winter they will have a huge backlash from pre-purchasers…that is reality….We do not mind allowing our money to ride about 5 months Maximum but you are suggesting almost 10 months of having our money out there not knowing…that is doubtful. The community is all thinking Late June so something better come out of the companies mouth about this and soon. We want a perfect game but, we are not silly consumers that will just sit idle while they do whatever they want and say deal with it.

There would be an even greater community backlash if they rushed out a product that was unfinished and full of bugs simply to silence a vocal minority who were incapable of understanding the phrase ‘Sometime in 2012′.

The financials in the report show no revenue from GW2 any time before Q4 for 2012.  Makes me wonder about accuracy because I would think they should be showing pre-purchase revenue for the first two quarters…

I heard that major retailers will have GW2 available on 6/26/12. I sure hope so.  I thought beta2 went as smooth as anyone could want.  I played in WvW where literally hundreds of players where interacting with each other and there was not a latency problem.  This game is ready to launch but I can understand the reason to wait. SWTOR was not ready when released.  It was dysfunctional technologically and conceptually.  Now that many have left no one will return no matter how the game improves. The same with WOW.  It failed to keep up with trends and innovations.   Many have left with no intents of returning. BUT this game is ready.  There is a huge void in the MMO market at the moment and GW2 would be a good choice.   The game is ready and the timing is now.
