We all have things we love about Guild Wars 2, places that make us cheer out and say “yes, this is my ultra-mega place!” We all have classes, abilities, and features we’re passionate about, either negatively or positively. This is a place to share all that. A couple times a week I’ll be raising a Guild Wars 2 question to the community– hopefully an interesting one– and we’ll share our opinions. I’ll start off with my opinion just to get the ball rolling, but these questions will not have any right or wrong answers, so feel free to argue with me to your heart’s content!

Last week I talked a bit about leveling areas. This week my brain’s still stuck in leveling mode, mostly due to my super slow (yet super fun!) leveling style. So, what’s your leveling style? Have you been 80 for a week or so, or are you taking your sweet time to smell the roses– er, cow pies and herds of grazing dolyaks?

My highest level character, my guardian, is only in her mid 30s. I’m slow– I admit it. I’m also thoroughly enjoying taking years attempting to complete jumping puzzles (I’m ridiculously terrible at them), complete map objectives, and futzing with crafting. I’ve done more than one starting area on her, which is actually quite enjoyable. I’m usually not a big fan of doing content I’m out-leveled for, but in Guild Wars 2 that problem isn’t an issue! I’ve also, of course– like the goof I am– created a handful of alts who I randomly have fun on. My favorite alts so far are my warrior and necromancer.

How about you? Has the “alt itch” struck you yet? Sound off in the comments section below!

Haha, I know how you feel. So glad I’m not alone. :D I thought I wouldn’t care for necro, but I really enjoy the class, same with engineer!

I got my Gw2 the past wednesday im im already 29…. i have to say that im enjoying the game the best way i can, exploring, completing all spots and getting all nodes in every map i decided to level, but now im starting to feel worried about getting 80 too fast >..< i know im getting 80 in a few days but i wish i could get to 80 in a few week's :( i dunno you dont feel like that?.

also i have to say it, this is the first mmo since WoW that made me feel so bad when i have to go to bed because i wanna keep playing and i just have to go to sleep because tomorrow i have to work so… I LOVE IT!

A part of is feeling that “eek I don’t wanna level, because then it’s over” jive, but honestly it’s not that bad for me this time, maybe because I know I can always go back to lower level areas and have an adjusted level. I felt that super strongly in both SWTOR and The Secret World, here, not so much. I really do adore GW2′s auto adjusting system.

Our intention from headstart on was to take it easy, which it feels like we did with the time we have available, but somehow we’ve already got 1 80 each and are working on our seconds who are already in their 30s, this is somewhat slowed because we’re working on gear also at the moment. All my character slots are full, this was initially done to save names for all but two characters but the others have already seen play time. I’m about the same with jumping puzzles but have got some done with the help of my other half, we tend to work them out together :D

i am level 60 and i have unlocked every skill for my engineer class (except for elite skills cause Norn has heeps). i find my self reading though all of my traits and skills to try and find the best build for my play style. it has been really fun and something that i really enjoy about the game. i am also really wraped by the story, so intresting and so much depth in characters and places. other than that i have done nothing in crafting and nothing in PVP.
