cond ranger title

Killerx here to help guide you on the role of PvP conditioning as a Ranger. A little warning in advance: This is a heavy conditions build. You will do amazing bleed damage but there is little room to no room for anything else in the build besides these condition abilities and pets. In this guide I will explain how to build and play as a Ranger with this setup. As a condition Ranger, you apply conditions by using ranged weapons like Shortbow (1200) and Axe/Dagger (900). Anything else except these weapons and setup will not get you the heavy condition damage you want.

A condition Ranger depends on the Shortbow as a primary weapon. They only use their secondary weapons when in a 1 vs. 1 situation or when they are able to come closer to the battle area for high burst damage. This is generally only when mobility is not an issue.

guardian bunker title

Hello! Killerx here to help guide you on the role of PvP Bunkering as a Guardian. The purpose of being a Bunker is to stay on a cap point and keep and defend it. You stay alive by using your abilities and avoiding enemy player attacks while holding your ground at your cap point. Make no mistake– you may die quite a bit– but that’s okay as long as you’re certain your team members are there to help win the day and and hold your team’s cap point.

Teamwork is essential to being a successful Bunker. Your team must have your back when necessary while you are defending. If your team is slacking off and they are not responding to your gurgling cries of help, try to stay alive as long as possible. Do not give your cap point away for free. Let the enemy work for it! Don’t ever forget that.

JN-Logo-not-round

Hey everyone, many of you might be familiar with the full Junkies Nation network where we attempt to create fansites from every MMOG out there. As our network grows, so do my responsibilities. Because of this we have begun our very own Affiliate Operator program.

To break it down simply, Junkies Nation is looking for people who have the desire to run, operate and create content for Defiance Junkies. This means Defiance Junkies is your site to run as you see fit under our guidelines. In turn you get web development, hosting, developer access (Hi Lance!), promotional support that includes cross-platform with our sites as well as outside sources of promotion.

As the Senior Editor of Junkies Nation, I can’t be across our network every day, all the time and we’re looking for a bright, creative and hard working person to run Defiance Junkies for us. In return for all your hardwork, you then begin to share in the site’s profits earning up to 60% of the revenue generated on the site.

If you are interested in finding out more about this program, along with the details, please contact me at Draegan@Rerollz.com.

Thanks everyone!

Hello, guys. What I wanted to do for the community today is to give you a realistic view of chasing a legendary. This is the view from a person actually chasing it himself. As usual, I’ll get to the point and give you the facts. This is the fastest way to achieve your goals. Let’s go right into it. Feel free to discuss everything listed, and add suggestions if you happen to have any.

Hello, all. Around two weeks ago, I came up with a Guardian Paladin WoW-style build. Some viewed it as a glass cannon. “Can’t possibly live,” some said. Well, they were proven wrong. But I was not satisfied with that build at all. It didn’t have enough sustained healing for my liking, and not quite enough defenses.

So, enter Guardian Paladin 2.0 version. In this version you have more defenses, sustained healing, higher burst crits, and the ability to cancel 8 attacks in a row with skills. Does that sound fun and extremely good to you? Well, let me start with the build. Keep reading to see the stat breakdowns, explanations, examples of it in action, and more!

Act 4: Mad King’s Simon Says

Our final act of Shadow of the Mad King is, well, less mad, and more of a reason to celebrate. The Mad King is now cool with everyone and wants to play a little game. He does a Simon Says-type game he calls “Mad King says” in Lion’s Arch. It’s pretty straight forward to figure out, and one of the rewards for completing the mini-game is a witch’s hat that seems to be offered at silver level participation or above.

For those who are not familiar with Simon Says the game– it’s quite simple. The Mad King will say a random emote, and the player must repeat that emote directly after. If he does not say an emote, then do nothing. Failure to correctly repeat the emotes gets you a flat lining debuff that floors you. That’s about it!

I was not around for the original Mad King events on Guild Wars. From what I hear, they were massive and fun. With that said, so far the Guild Wars 2 version lives up to the lineage of the original event. It comes complete with a festive redesign of Lion’s Arch and plenty of mini-games and goodies in the gem store. There’s also an interesting scavenger hunt with a good story line involved. I went ahead and took the liberty of showing all the key areas in the hunt within a video. All in all, the event is well done– and free, so you can’t beat that.

Keep reading to watch the video!

Next up in our series of Guild Wars 2 area completion guides is Gendarran Fields, the area directly north of Lion’s Arch, intended for players between levels 25-35. The area’s home of some pretty windmills, bloodthirsty pirates, and even more bloodthirsty centaur. Gendarran Fields is where the Vigil Headquarters is located, and in the same area, an asura portal to the high level Straits of Devastation map. There is one jumping puzzle in Gendarran Fields that isn’t required for the completion achievement.

These completion guides are intended to help players achieve the completion series achievements. We’ll just be covering the more difficult-to-find Points of Interest, all of the Vista Points, all of the Skill Challenges, and the area’s jumping puzzles. Also included is a humungous map, with every major Point of Interest (PoI) and Waypoint (WP) labeled. Points of Interest have black-bordered text, Waypoints dark blue. Renown (heart) quests are also labeled with their suggested level. This should help you decide on a path of adventure, if you so choose.

Next up in our series of Guild Wars 2 area completion guides is Diessa Plateau, the second charr racial area, intended for players between levels 15-25. The area’s home of some interesting challenges, included three jumping puzzles, a cow-flinging catapult, and plenty of old, decrepit ruins waiting to be explored. To get there, travel to The Black Citadel, and head north through Memorial Quadrant and through the portal.

I’ve also labeled nearby portals to other maps as well as the entrances to the map’s secret jumping puzzles. When reading my tips for completing the jumping puzzles, make sure to take a peek at the pictures that are linked at some of the tougher areas.

Ah, Metrica Province– home of tiny asura, cool floating staircases, cube-shaped elevating objects, some weird frog dudes, and lots and lots of exploration to be had. While running around, it’s pretty easy to lose track of a Vista Point or get stuck on how to find the way to that Point of Interest. Look no further– we’ve got all your answers.

For these condensed-style guides, we’ll just be covering the more difficult-to-find Points of Interest, all of the Vista Points, and all of the Skill Challenges. Also included is a humungous map, showing all the pockets of the map, with every major Point of Interest (PoI) and Waypoint (WP) labeled. Points of Interest have black-bordered text, Waypoints dark blue. Renown (heart) quests are also labeled with their suggested level. This should help you decide on a path of adventure, if you so choose.

I’ve also labeled nearby portals to other maps as well as the entrance to the map’s secret jumping puzzle area. Stay tuned for additional 100% completion maps, as well as detailed guides for the more difficult jumping puzzles.
